From sun-up to sun-down, volunteers from the Minnesota Wing of the Commemorative Air Force manned a booth at Oshkosh this year to promote the Red Tail Project in its quest to rebuild the P-51C Mustang "Tuskegee Airmen" and bring its message to every classroom in America.
The message: By following the Tuskegee Airmen's example our youth can learn to overcome
obstacles and by a belief in themselves have the confidence to follow their dreams.

CAF member and Red Tail Project volunteer, Stan Ross, did the heavy lifting to create the booth, set it up, arriving at Oshkosh early and staying late. He was invaluable to the success of the mission and we owe him a debt of gratitude for his hard work. In addition, he has created the Air Show Atlas which promotes the CAF by presenting the location of every Wing in the country in one easy-to-use map complete with pictures of the planes of the Wings and contact information.

Red Tail Media Coordinator Tim Barzen swaps flying stories with Dale Klapmeier. The Cirrus Design Corporation generously donated a valuable portion of Oshkosh real estate to the Red Tail Project for our booth. Without their help we couldn't have been there.

He spent quite awhile talking to visitors to the booth and signing their purchases, thanks Bob!

Tuskegee Airmen member Melvin Knazze also signed material at the booth. These members really gave our presentation added credibility and interest.
